Encoded Media Digital TV Server is a new way of making live television and recorded programmes available throughout an organisation.
A hardware appliance provides instant access to any digital free-to-air UK and / or any foreign satellite television channel† by streaming the signal across your current IP network.
Digital TV Server can also be used as a network video recorder, its full featured electronic programme guide allowing users to pick and choose exactly what they want to record. Live and recorded TV can be seen in full DVD quality on any PC, projector, or television screen with access to the LAN.
Administrator users have access to usage statistics together with complete control over which channels are available.
Encoded Media Digital TV Server - company wide TV coverage, but without the fuss of a TV system.
† Requires a Freeview antenna, satellite dish or other source. Organisations must ensure they possess relevant TV Licences.
Encoded Media Digital TV Server is connected directly to a Freeview antenna and / or satellite dish—no need for a stack of decoder boxes—saving space, reducing maintenance costs and ensuring the highest quality digital picture.
Administrators take control through a full-featured web configuration screen, deciding which channels are available, and who has access to them. Digital TV Server will even integrate with Active Directory.
The signal is sent over an existing LAN, eliminating the need for a separate TV cabling infrastructure. Viewers can connect using any laptop, PC or dedicated receiver box and select what they want to watch or record.
Digital TV Server also comes integrated with a free video-on-demand Content Management System, allowing you to organise, store and distribute any recorded programmes
